Allerair

Nowadays more people recognize that the air in our homes is not as clean as it might be and so more of us are looking to air purifiers to deal with this. Air purifiers are designed to clean the air in our environment and remove the dirt and irritants that make us prone to allergies. Most systems use filters to get rid of the dust and dirt and replace it with clean air. HEPA air purifiers are the only type of purifier that has Government approval and is used by an increasing number of manufacturers, including Allerair.

The cost of air purifying systems can varies considerably as manufacturers use different types of technology. Whichever system you decide to have will need to be suited to both your needs and the amount of money that you have to spend. Allerair systems are popular because they are reasonably priced systems which use HEPA technology combined with carbon filters and UV systems. Some systems use a larger filter and can thus absorb more allergens. This does tend to make Allerair systems noisier than those which use smaller filters. The UV filter is especially useful if someone in your home suffers from allergies as UV is often used in hospitals to destroy airborne germs.

Allerair air purifying systems have a metal baked enamel finish rather than the plastic finish of most other models. The use of UV means that the Allerair system will remove mold and other allergens that most systems cannot deal with. It also provides a dehumidifying process which is beneficial for anyone suffering from lung and respiratory problems.

The Allerair units work with a number of different filters with larger particles being trapped by a pre-filter to stop the clogging of other filters – which can be a problem with some systems. When the air is then passed through a HEPA filter, almost all of the smaller particles are removed. The air is then put through a germicidal filter which rids it of any other bacteria before it is recirculated.

Allerair manufacturers claim that theirs is the only heavy duty system with UV technology. Not all of the Allerair systems are the same, however, and if you really want the addition of UV filters then you need to ascertain that they are available with the model you choose. The germicidal filter is only fitted to three Allerair models and you would need to buy one of these if you want your system to deal with spores and pollen.
