Experts tell us that if we want to improve the air quality in our homes and reduce the risk of suffering from allergies, then an air purifying system may be the answer. There is however, a lot of arguments over the many different brands and types of humidifiers and purifiers on the market. This is particularly the case where systems rely on the use of ozone or manufactured clean air. This is because experts are of the opinion that too much ozone can have deleterious effects on our health. Ozone, in its proper place, protects the earth and its inhabitants from the harmful UV rays of the sun. However, breathing in concentrated ozone can damage people’s lungs. One such controversial air purifying system is Biozone.

Manufacturers claim that while the Biozone system does not use filters its technology is energy efficient and safe for use in the home. There is an increased concern over the quality of indoor air. Biozone purifiers, manufacturers proclaim, are beneficial to allergy sufferers because of their ability to remove pollutants and improve air quality in the home and workplace. Manufacturers argue that Biozone air purifiers do not make unnecessary noise and along with improved quality of air the system is able to dispense with smells. They dispute the arguments that the use of ozone may cause more health problems than it solves.

Biozone uses a combination of methods to remove pollutants and to purify the air. We are told that photoplasma and UV light are used to enable the Biozone air purifier to remove contaminants from a room’s surfaces and atmosphere. Other features are the use of a germicidal ultraviolet light, ozone and free hydroxyl radicals to provide clean air that is safe – however, their use of ozone as part of the purification system does raise some safety questions regarding Biozone air purifiers. Not everyone agrees however, that the small amounts of ozone the system uses can cause health problems for some people.

Experts are divided as to the extent that ozone can be harmful and whether it should be used in systems such as the Biozone air purifier. This division is reflected in Biozone air purifier reviews – with some giving the product negative feedback and others that are full of praise for these systems. Manufacturers do try to address these questions and argue that there is a continual improvement and updating going on in Biozone laboratories.
